Right as quite a few people seem to struggle to upload their pictures to the forum here's a little thread showing you whats needed....
1. Open a Photobucket/imageshack account.
2. Upload the photos by selecting them from the location on your computer as per green button on this page below....by holding down the CTRL button you can select and upload more than one photo at a time.
3.once the images have uploaded simply click upon them and a page as the below will appear. select the box that says IMG code (as circled) and then copy and paste this into your post...you can click the preview button to check its coming up ok if in any doubt.
Thats about it, very simple and takes less than 2 minutes to do......hopefully this will help people to sort out their own pictures with relative ease :)
-
I did always wonder why you had to upload everyones pics for them, i thought you were getting paid lol
-
yeh would be nice...thought this would make things easier for people to understand though as its a pretty simple process :D
-
Great guide tom! Thanks. If Photobucket is not working an alternative site to try which works in a similar way is:
www.imageshack.us (No signup required)
-
Cheers mate really helped
-
where is the IMGcode on image shack as it's different to photobucket....
-
thanks for helping new comers
-
yeah thanks for this, ive got a couple of bats to sell on here and did'nt know how to upload pics
tks

I use Picasa / Google+. It's very easy and free.
1. Download it here - http://picasa.google.co.uk/
2. Picasa can do lots of stuff but we are only interested in uploading (google account may be needed but it's free). Right click on your picture like so:-
(https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-fZecVBfozQ4/UHQIN8MJycI/AAAAAAAAGhg/cp9DvZiJcE8/s800/screen%2520grab%25200.5.jpg)
Click upload to web albums
3. When the upload is finished a tab should open on your browser with the uploaded picture. Right click - copy image url
(https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-i8sRnWJXikA/UHQILWHXhEI/AAAAAAAAGhY/WXTZtVji0R8/s912/screen%2520grab1.jpg)
4. Open your post on CBF and click the pic button. Paste in the middle of the tags the copied url for the image.

Top work Nick!
-
awesome guide. Excellent for us noobs
-
Yea I got there in the end but my problem seemed to be with flickr. Has anyone else had issues with that?
As soon as I used photo bucket it worked straight away.
-
Is it possible to upload via iPhone does anyone know?
-
Download the photo bucket app and its pretty straight forward
-
Thanks guys, this thread is very helpful for newbies like myself.Cheers :)
-
Is there an easy way to load photos off an iPad?
-
I have an iPhone. And use photobucket. It's quick and easy and you can link to them in the app (which you couldn't a long while ago).
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Issue with Google Photos:-
When you upload a pic from your phone, please put it in a album. I have found people on the forum can't view photos just uploaded but not in an album.
-
Thanks for this thread. I just posted my first post with pictures of my bat. Thanks again.
-
Does anybody know a quick and easy way to resize photos taken on an iPhone and then put into PhotoBucket? I have to restart photobucket after every photo if I do it on the website.
-
@Calzehbhoy have u tried the photobucket app for iPhone? It automatically backs up your photo stream then for you and you can pull IMG links off it then.
-
I mostly uses PostImage
Here
https://postimage.io (https://postimage.io). It's easy to upload there.
Fetch image on PostImage using its URL
https://postimage.io/web.php (https://postimage.io/web.php)
It also has Plugins which can be integrated on many forums including SMF.
https://postimage.io/site-plugins/ (https://postimage.io/site-plugins/)
Also it provides windows software to upload screen capture easily. Also you can select image>Right Click>Upload
https://postimage.io/app.php (https://postimage.io/app.php)
Just remember to get hotlink for Forum rather then thumbnail

What apps do people use for easy photo posting?
I normally use Photobucket but it seems to be having a few issues recently

Couldn't agree more - can someone recommend a new app to use?
Photobucket is woeful.
-
It looks like Photobucket are wanting people to pay for third party broadcasting
-
Guys Gyazo is literally the easiest to use ever.
Takes 10min to get used to and you'll thank me for it :D

Great tip mate - which link is the one to post to embed photo not just the link?
-
No worries mate...
Are you using chrome? If so you just click copy image address instead of image.
Example:
This is the copy image link: https://gyazo.com/72ff66e88878ad7158b3dd941d9c764c
This is the copy image address: https://i.gyazo.com/72ff66e88878ad7158b3dd941d9c764c.png
Difference is this:
Compared to
(https://i.gyazo.com/72ff66e88878ad7158b3dd941d9c764c.png)
Another way is to right click the image and open image in another tab, and then copying that URL:

Cheers

Indeed, they have asked me for the bargain price of $399.99
I am not sure that is quite the bargain they think it is!
-
What alternatives do people use other than photobucket then as this has been what ive used for the last 10 years!
-
Try Gyazo @Ayrtek Cricket mobile app seems pretty simple.
-
Gyazo revolution time :D
-
I tried it an it keeps crashing on my 6s for some reason 🙈
-
What is the biggest hassle about this is all the pics posted are no longer available.

Everyone does have nice matching avatars though! :D I must have used photobucket for close to 15 years, can't believe they've suddenly changed their mind about it all! Don't think too many people will be handing over the $400...
-
I just tried cubeupload
(http://i.cubeupload.com/Xl9CFJ.png)
https://www.ghacks.net/2017/07/02/photobucket-alternatives-for-third-party/ (https://www.ghacks.net/2017/07/02/photobucket-alternatives-for-third-party/)

Yes, they decided to make a change without telling anyone. What's more frustrating was that I was paying for the service anyway due to number of photos (and when you did that they included the bandwidth for third party use). You can log into your own account to get the pictures, but that's about it.
-
Could someone give some guides as to how to upload from different places please?
The cube upload didn't work for me!
-
I now use POSTIMAGE. very similar to photobucket but easier to use
-
Imgur works well for me. Although the phone app doesn't provide an option to post a sensibly sized image, you need to alter that on a computer
-
Seems like we need a new guide as some people are lost without photobucket.
1. Go to postimage.org (http://postimage.org) (or other image hosting website of your choice, it's basically irrelevant which one you use).
2. Choose your image/s and upload
3. Copy the 'direct link' to your image
(https://s2.postimg.org/r60w8jhu1/image.png)
If you're not using postimage or are posting a picture that is already on the internet somewhere else, simply right click on the image and select 'Copy Image Location' or the equivalent for your browser.
4. Either click the image button when writing your post or type (https://s1.postimg.org/s3u0meimn/image.png)
5. Paste the direct link to your image in between those img tags like so:
and you have pictures, done.
-
Tinypics.com seems to work pretty well too fyi
They have a copy img link so it is really easy
-
Just uploaded pictures for the first time following instructions pretty simple and easy to understand :)
-
my laptop hates postimage for some reason, bats for sale but no way to sell them :(
-
Anyone else get the email today saying this
Hello ,
We are writing to inform you that your TinyPic account will be discontinued in the coming weeks. You must migrate to an existing Photobucket paid account to preserve your content.
Do you host commercially? Our Commerce plan allows for *hosting of images on eBay, Amazon and other sites - without limitation. It also allows for the storage of up to 1 million photos.

Looks like Photobucket are taking over and turning it commercial.....

😠😠😠

Ive been using imgur since photobucket signed it痴 own death warrant. Still trying to work out how to use it properly though with the image sizes.
-
Found post image the easiest they have a tab especially for forums which is really easy to use
-
Postimages.org is really, really easy to use.
When uploading the image you just select message board size on the photo.

Simon do you just copy the thumbnail for forums code, instead of the direct link ?
-
Not the thumbnails as they are the little pictures, go with the "hotlink for forums"

Thanks Buzz! I think I'll need to amend my post in the for sale section and put larger photos on.
Cheers

As above mate, postimages is very easy imo Use the hotlink for forums as suggested by Buzz as abv
-
Thanks mate. I will give it a try
-
What does everyone use for uploading images these days? It seems Photobucket is no longer free?
