HistoryOur two founding admins Leo and Danny used to post on a popular cricket forum until it became rife with arguments so they decided to form their very own forum. This forum was facricket (
www.facricket.co.nr) Facricket really took off and became rather popular so we hired another mod, Tom. Tom gave us the domain
www.facricket.co.uk. Facricket continued to grow until we reached 9000 odd posts and over 180 members!
We realised if we wanted to make it big and rival larger forums we had to move to a more customisable forum with more features!
Unfortunatly due to the lack of our old forums features we cannot transfer any posts at all!
New FeaturesSo now we find ourselves here at Custombats! There are several new features on this forum including the introduction of "CREDITS" :
Credits are given each time you post and each time you make a topic these can be used to buy novelty items in the SHOP. You can own Don Bradmans Bat or you can steal more credits off your fellow members, or you can even just hoard lots of top quality kit! (Incase you didnt realise the shop and credits are purely virtual!
)
An Arcade has also been introduced! This allows our members to play fun games while on the forum nd save their high scores to compete against others! Please be aware that you need to post at least two posts a day to be granted access to the arcade!
BUYING AND SELLING - We have decided to allow buying and selling on the forum and have introduced a 'trader' system. The trader system is basically where you can give positive/neutral/negative feedback about the buyer/seller for the whole forum to see! You do this by clicking their profile and entering details of the deal (Please note only feedback that contains a link to the topic where the deal was done will be valid!)
We have also introduced a spell checker onto the posting box (especially for you bellie) so now theres no excuse for anyone spelling words wrong! Simply click spell check and it will be checked!
What Next!?We want as many of you posting on our forum and hope to one day be the biggest cricket forum on the web!
