Title: My Warsop Venom
Post by: Tom on May 22, 2008, 10:09:36 PM
Here are pics of my Warsop, the weight is supposedly 2lb 8oz although I'd say it felt a tad heavier. It's the top of the line model.

It has the brand new Fusion stickers on at the moment as it came blank, the new Fusion stickers are slightly different on the front to the ones I've pictured.

It's as I didn't buy it direct through Warsop, I gave my specs to a friend who gets his own brand made by them.

looks good but not enough heartwood on it for me.

Na it looks gorgeous like that. Can't stand too much heartwood, but that follows the grain and everything.

Always interested in getting new bats and trying out different brands. I also don't get them free from Fusion, I may get some cheap kit or heavily discounted stuff if I help out a bit with emails or phones when they're really busy.

I've picked up soooo many Warsops around our area, being very near the 'hut' I hate the oval handles and the profiles!

Seem to play really well though when I was netting with a platinum and a Venom.

There isn't any difference I swear!  Clare says Tony hand picks venoms and knocks with mallet, and compares, but I'm not convinced as there seems no difference apart from price and stickers...

I'm the opposite to you mate! I love the profiles.
When I've used one, it picked like mad so I was impressed...

I've seen a set of sample stickers in Red and the stickers they're using at the moment are slightly different on the front. It goes from silver to black like the Skyer front sticker

Little brother has one and I swear it is the best junior bat ever, the ping is great and he's hit some really top shots that have flown. The difference between this one and the other kids bats around that the other boys in his county team etc.. is huge. The big brands just don't seem to produce the best bats for kids.

E-Unit please stop trying to cause trouble. I do not find Dan's post poost boosting in any way, shape or form. However I do find your post unnecessary same with Sambo. Lets stick to the topic shall we and then everyone can get on.

Cheers Guys.

yes boss,

Just find it funny that all of a sudden when a bat is introduced to who has the most posts, he starts posting on most topics there are....

Oh well if thats how you want it, suit yourself  :)

Its not just who has the most posts or I could just set my total to 999999999999. Its if there is a draw so 2 people happen to guess the same score in the final (very unlikely) the person with the most posts will win the bat.

Hi

I was on the Warsop website and quite like their bats.

Can someone get me a Platinum or a Venom for less than £165 and £200??

Personally, I like the Platinum and would prefer a little more wood in the middle. Or the Venom with a slimmer sholder and toe

Hi Tom,

Can you send me some more pictures of this bat?

Is it possible to get the Warsop labels back on it?

What is the weight?

Any plans of visiting James workshop in the near future?

I will do when I get it back from the club as I left all my kit there, doubt I'll be able to sort Warsop labels out though. Weighs 2lb 8ish.

James Cornford's? I plan to visit sometime soon as I've got a few bats I've left down there I need to collect as well as a Skyer.

Give me a call when you plan to visit James I will schedule my work accordingly. Let's keep it for week after next.

The Skyer is a great fielding aid, bought one for my club. Makes fielding practice fun....

I am looking for Warsop stickers for one of my bats too, is it possible to buy one from Warsop?
