Title: My M&H Amplus
Post by: Johng on March 01, 2011, 11:03:24 PM
Hi All,

Thought I would post some photos of my 40th birthday present. I was lucky enough to receive a new and awesome M&H Amplus 2.10oz with 8 straight and evenly spaced grains. This bat is huge and is a show stopper, but most importantly this bat is so balanced and the ping is extraordinary and picks up 2oz lighter than its static weight.

The service from Nick at M&H was first class receiving the bat in 10 days and I am in Australia, I know these bats are expensive but boy what a bat it absolutely pings like no other.(http://(http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z366/jjg140271/IMG_4945.jpg)[/img]

This is the first time I have posted photos so I hope I have got it right.

Well first and foremost happy birthday fella. Great looking bat, high middle for those hard Aussie decks. Looks a stunner, saran a few in the flesh and they are all HUGE. This seems no different  :)

Middle is quite long which did surprise me, reminds me of an over sized Thruxton

Hope you had a great Birthday - obviously someone loves you very much indeed if they got you a pressie like that!
2'10 and picks up like 2'8, and that size? That's a pretty huge bat with a price to match! But if it goes that well, then can't go wrong! I suspect that it would make a few bowlers sweat just looking at it.
Hope you have some fun with that baby this season!  8)

Thanks Pete.
I was a bit cynical about the Amplus and probably would never of bought one for myself as I tend to by all of my bats from Talisman.
But the Wife and kids did very well and this thing is an absolute gun and would highly recommend the Amplus to any of the forum members.

To be fair, I have several Talisman bats and they are top performing bats!
So it was brave of your wife and kids to risk another brand. But it sounds like they did a great job!  ;)

You're looking far too skinny for my liking - you need a good meal inside you!

I'm 127KG, that's 20 stone in old money, for that to look skinny is testament to your failing eyesight.

And my missus keeps telling me to lose half a stone at 6'5 and 98kg! Makes me feel a lot better.

Bruce is still on the phone to Nasa, they have their top men on it but will not have his weight calculated until Tuesday..... something to do with his gravitational pull.

Wow I weigh nothing lol :| - I'm 5 11 and 60kg (9.5 Stone)... :) - might be a contender with Sam, perhaps I will be the new subject of Tom's abuse, but for weight not height lol! ;)

You are still pretty young though, so although skinny now, beer will help you fill out.

Isn't gravitational field directly related to mass of the body?

I know haha... :) - Quite the coincidence...

Yep, you're right, still growing and bulking up... :) - though decided to work on leg strength for bowling and keeping now...possibly upper body, but I am doing it slowly. Though I have started training on my own outdoors now, taking the initiative to make sure I have a good year this year! :)

It's great to spend time with Mike and would be with roco too - being an absolut tiny 6'3 and just over 16 stone, I am almost a male version of Kate Moss in comparison! Suck those cheeks in!!

You and Mike are both pure men....100% fella!
I would put Bruce in that bracket normally as well, but he may well be fitting into the slimmer model category if all this weight is falling off him!

Saw a couple of M&H bats at Owzat today, they were massive and picked up very well. Easily the biggest bats in the shop out of the ones I picked up, I just wish I could afford one.
