just wondered what grips people prefer...i'm currently using a GM sock absorber one one and a standard octopus on the other.
do you go for a light grip or one that feels better??
-
old diamond grip light for me
hate the extra weight in a spiral or anything fancy..
-
I'm not fussed tbh. I have an Octo Grip on the RB, a Spiral Grip on the Salix and a Chevron on the Instinct. I do like the Combi Grips as well, forgot to keep some though :-[

looks like someones a grip slut ;) haha
-
GM shock absorber till I die! Haha
-
Big thick spirals all the way. Preferably two of them.
-
I prefer thicker grips, but the pattern doesnt really bother me, apart from octopus grips, i hate them with a passion
-
The Aero wrap grips are nice but come a close second to the white combi grips for me.
-
since the bat i recieved from pete having an aero grip on it i loved it!
so i bought aero grips for my other bats and love them!
-
gotta love an octopus on top of either a chevron or another octopus for me
-
Im a big fan of the thick Spirals on top of a thin grip. Cant stand octopus... they shred gloves!
-
ive heard loads of people say that about octopus grips, but personally ive not experienced this as far as im aware, my gloves tend to last just over season till theyre stiff with sweat and grip starts to go a bit,
i used a spiral/ribbed grip once, not sure which, and my bat kept sliding out of my hands, couldnt hold on to the bloody thing!
-
Yeah I kinda had the same problem with spiral ones. As soon as I started to sweat they wouldn't grip properly. Must just be my stupid hands lol.
-
Anyone used the new GM control grips?
-
I use the control grip, fletch.
-
Any good?
-
Control grips have been out for a few years now, they are good grips. And they come with the England flag as well if you want!
-
By control grip you do mean the ones that come on the GM bats as standard? I have seen the GM matrix grips referred to as control recently
-
They feel nicer than the standard chevron/matrix grips whilst remaining fairly thin, which is fine by me.
-
I always tend to have 2 grips on my bats - a chevron underneath and then a kook snake grip on the top as I find they are a bit more glove friendly than octopus grips. Having said that both bats I have now have got spiral grips on.
-
2 chevrons and a kookaburra max on on top, perfect!
-
1/2 or 3 grips? I used to have one and a half grips years ago to make the bottom half more oval.
-
3 full grips
-
3 full grips
You used to be just a 1 grip man....
-
Depends on the bat handle, I have two on my Ayrtek, had 3 on my old one and 1 on my Purist II.
-

indeed i did, i could not even consider thickening the handle, but after having some time off over the winter i gave it another try in nets and just found that a good 3 grips feels really nice and i feel as if i have more control over my shots, hoping to get a video uploaded soon of me in nets
-
Plain chevron underneath, white spiral on top. Although, like the standard puma ones too
-
Have been using 2 up until this year been using a single combi grip
-
I use one grip, Currentky have Chevron, Which seems fine in the hand.
-
a chevron on top of a spiral grip or combi is how i roll
-
Gotta oval up that bottom handle Michael!!
-
I don't know - I'm always mixing and changing normally 2 tho
