Title: How to remove polyarmour varnish from a bat....?

So I bought an old bat off eBay and discovered that it was polyarmoured. I was going to refurb it, but I am not sure how easy this stuff is to remove. Any ideas, or should I not bother and just give up now?

One of my fav bats of all time was slaz v12 polyarmoured. What a bat.
