Title: Level One Umpire Exam
Post by: 123* on March 17, 2011, 04:09:06 PM
Who's done this? Got mine coming up; should be easy enough I expect? Anything I should look out for?

I have cleared it, some of the questions are tricky specially if one is not aware of LBW rules and also some questions regarding umpires giving warning to players in certain situations. Certain situations demand the umpires to give one warning, some two and some none at all.
Also there are some interesting questions about the run out decisions when there is a mix up while taking multiple runs.

You would hope that an umpire would know the LBW rules....

i think most players themselves are aware of most of the rules/laws and how to apply them.
as mad_abt_cricket mentioned, read up on the warning situations, penalty runs etc. also be thorough with law 42
