best thing to do is have a "set up" like trot. he always does the same thing after every ball (adjusts his pads, takes guard, gets comfortable) its hard inside because you cant make a propper guard but id say its something that you have to be consciously thinking about before every ball.

dont know if that makes sense at all lol

Dont think about how you are standing. Ensure your grip is correct and your eyes are level and think about watching the ball.

i have sent you an email

Good point buzz, make sure the v on ur hand (between ur thumb n finger) are in line with the slice (v on the bat) make sure the bat comes down straight.

I didnt have a good session on bowling machine either today.  May have been suffering some stiffness from yesterday, but didnt seem to be moving feet properly & bat kept twisting so presume trying to hit the ball too much.

Yeah I'm guilty of that too, try n hit the ball too hard. See it and my eyes light up which results in a high back swing and miss timing the ball or missing it altogether haha

I've always found this position hard to hold and quite awkward to play with because it closes the face too much.

I would encourage the v on the bottom hand to be slightly towards the outside edge - I have shown this pic before, but it illustrates the point nicely.

If you find it closes the face too much, your top hand may be slightly out too. For some people opening the face at the back lift helps. For me it is whatever is comfortable, but this is probalby a bit high:

this is what i tend to do as it's the most comfortable, and stops me closing the face. In addition, I tend to hold the bat very lightly in my bottom hand until I've hit it.

Someone once said that 80% of faults are in the grip, stance or backlift.
