my background on this forum has changed to all white is this supposed to happen and if so will it stay like this IMO the other one was better

cheers bud it is just white everywhere and then at the top saying

Speaking of layout, would it be possible to offer one or two more skin options as I find the current one slightly difficult to pick out words from, especially on the alternate grey posts

Try there, then click change next to where it says FerryTerma theme at the top.
