Title: Best Value GM Model
Post by: uknsaunders on March 21, 2011, 10:49:13 PM
Just wondered which model number is the best value. Doesn't seem alot of difference between 404-606 or 707-808?

Yeah 808 for me, grade 2. But some may be 909 or higher marked down due to imperfections

Depends what you want and what your budget is as you could shop around and pick up a orginal LE model for £160 or £170 if they have a previous model left like the new Catalyst i got.

any thoughts on the lower grade range 404-606, haven't decided how much I can hide from the wife ;)

606 are good value and is the lowest I would go, they are grade 3 bleached. A friend had one and it went very well and was a nice bat

404-606 wouldn't buy that range myself as i feel only aimed at junior or very low league/friendly standard so wont be the best for sure. Guess it depends on your budget and what standard you play.

606 and up are decent bats in my opinion.Anything below im not crazy about.

If you go into any big retailer and see they have 6 or so GM Luna 606 bats then mallet test them all and im positive one of them will hit as good as any 909 or so. Just like if you hit every 909 bat youd probably find one with better response than most originals and le bats

GM Purist 606 which I bought back in 2005. Loved it! :D

while at the factor they say that a bat can go in the top end section and come out the other end 808 and they are resonably cheap !

Perhaps a good example of this would be when I went into Sports Direct yesterday they had a size 6 Luna 404 with grains to die for.
