Title: Best Softs
Post by: johnnyw on March 22, 2011, 09:46:13 PM: Just wondering what peoples views are on the best softs available. Like Laver and Scat etc are the best bats and Ayrtek is the best helmet. What make/brand of softs do you think offer the best protection and performance/looks etc

Sareen Sport for pads in there various outbranding

Legend pads by gn are pump the top strap is to high producing a bulge.

Bas make ok pads and gloves but there stuff does not last

Post by: yvk3103 on March 22, 2011, 10:04:48 PM: I am using Mongoose Super Premium pads and they are very comfortable and fit well. The only drawback is that the inside of the top hat feels a bit like plastic due to the material used to achieve the color and chrome effect.

Puma Iridium, Trick LE and Kinetic gloves are the best.

I have used Newbery, Salix, Kookaburra, SS and GM softs outside Pakistan and the best ones here are SS and GM's

Pads my aero p1's are the best I have used but out of the more traditional the ayrtek elites tick all the boxes

Plus you cannot go wrong with toms customer service

pads wise my aryteks are still a bit stiff but protection in them is fine and they will get bit more supple i think more i wear them

I have them mate, picked them up with a some of the x10 pro and players gloves. Love them

Post by: Jon B on March 29, 2011, 12:20:52 PM: i've used canterbury pads for the last couple of years... although i got them a size too big and never got around to buying pads that fit until this week :-)

the canterburys are really light and fit well, i think they're the ayrtek design (don't know the history there).

the best gloves i ever had were made by island, although that was a fair few years ago. just got myself some aero hands and i'm looking forward to seeing how they perform.
