Just wondering what peoples views are on the best softs available. Like Laver and Scat etc are the best bats and Ayrtek is the best helmet. What make/brand of softs do you think offer the best protection and performance/looks etc
-
Kook are well renown to produce good softs, as are Puma, but I love this years' GN Legend gloves, but haven't tried any pads on.
-
Puma Gloves for comfort.
Sareen Sport for pads in there various outbranding
Legend pads by gn are pump the top strap is to high producing a bulge.
Bas make ok pads and gloves but there stuff does not last
-
Like Kookaburra softs especially the gloves Ice 850 as like the sausage style rather than modern style.(just my preference)
-
I think the Ayrtek elite gloves are the best on the market. So comfy
-
Robinsons make some very good pads and gloves with other branding on them there very good indeed.
-
I am using Mongoose Super Premium pads and they are very comfortable and fit well. The only drawback is that the inside of the top hat feels a bit like plastic due to the material used to achieve the color and chrome effect.
Puma Iridium, Trick LE and Kinetic gloves are the best.

I have used all of Pakistan leading brands top of the line softs and the best ones in Pakistan (top ones are) MB Malik Bubber Sher.
I have used Newbery, Salix, Kookaburra, SS and GM softs outside Pakistan and the best ones here are SS and GM's
-
Puma pads are the shizzle
-
Ayrtek elite are the best I have used for comfort and protection
Pads my aero p1's are the best I have used but out of the more traditional the ayrtek elites tick all the boxes
Plus you cannot go wrong with toms customer service
-
In fact (No Swearing Please) my new Laver and Watson custom pads are the best or will be sounds good
only joking people
Tom is a good lad i like the look of H4l softs at the minute
-
Glad people like the softs, hard to get across until people actually wear them rather than judging them on looks alone.
Customer service is all part of the Ayrtek experience :)
-
Agree i need to try some on a bit like saf bats i keep passing them but never buying them
-
Well you shouldve come down the other week rather than wuss out
-
I love my hawk x10 batting pads, i find them really comfy, and they sit really low for a normal sized pad, which being 6ft 2 is a godsend!
-
my fav gloves where puma evo 5000's untill i had the ayrtek elites now defo my fav gloves.
pads wise my aryteks are still a bit stiff but protection in them is fine and they will get bit more supple i think more i wear them
-
I've had quite a few pairs of puma gloves and think they are the best on the market

I have them mate, picked them up with a some of the x10 pro and players gloves. Love them
-
atm I use some puma 5000 2010 pads and hawk x10 pro gloves and they're the best softs I've owned.
-
i think newbery softs are up there with the best.... think i'l be getting those next....
might have to have a look at this Hawk gear tho
-
The new Willostix Stick pads and gloves are up there with the best of tried.
Agree with Canners, Newbery are very high standard.
-
I've got Bradburys, really good softs if you ask me. Comfy, well fitting, decent protection.
-
i've used canterbury pads for the last couple of years... although i got them a size too big and never got around to buying pads that fit until this week :-)
the canterburys are really light and fit well, i think they're the ayrtek design (don't know the history there).
the best gloves i ever had were made by island, although that was a fair few years ago. just got myself some aero hands and i'm looking forward to seeing how they perform.
-
I got some puma softs for this year, much preffer them to the GM ones (L.E Gloves) I had last year.
-
Kookaburra Kahuna Ricky Ponting
