Hi guys
I bought some 2011 Puma Iridium 5000 gloves at Somerset County Sports at their gear launch day and have used them 7 times. They were fine but after todays net it seems as if the elastic has gone in part of the wrist band.
I'm not saying this is bad by Puma, I love their gloves and think they are the best on the market. It doesn't effect how the gloves feel or how they fit. But you can see it and it makes them look tacky in my opinion. I've had a pair of puma gloves for the last 2 season and they haven't done this.
Just wondered if there is anything I could do and would it warrant a replacement?

The'll likely replace them if you take them back.
This does show people on here care way too much about how kit looks mind you :D
-
Yep, very precise about how my gear looks
-
I'd say more picky than precise ;)
Each to their own and all that though, I think I'm better suited to looking scruffy when I bat, don't want anyone getting the wrong impression and thinking I can bat!

Just read their returns policy
Returns Policy
We offer a very fair returns policy, should your goods not be the correct size or colour. We offer either an exchange of goods or a total refund of the goods, providing that the goods have not been used, are returned in their original packaging and that you meet the cost of any additional postage incurred in completing the return. We suggest for your own security, that you use a recorded delivery service for any goods that you return to us
all though i think that just applies to online ordered
-
That'll be for returns rather than faulty goods though.
-
I have contacted them, no harm in asking.
-
They will replace them, they are a big store with a good reputation, they would want to keep it that way.
-
if id have paid over £50 for them like u did id expect them to last as they are top end gloves...take them back to SCS and im sure they will sort out a new pair for u
-
Don't want to have to drive up there next weekend, as my wages come in this week so could be dangerous!
Hope I can just post them back.
They are great gloves I was probably just unlucky
-
Still haven't head back from them. May venture up there at the weekend
-
Any updates?
-
Took them to the shop today and they are sending them back to Puma to see what they say
-
So they should! Faulty goods
-
but you are now gloveless? frustrates me when they do that!
-
I have my old pair of pumas which are nice and crusty!
-
I took my gloves in last week and they said they would send them off to puma on Monday.
It has now been a week, surely they would have made it to puma and been looked at by now.
-
It took them 2-3 weeks for them to tell GCCC the outcome after I sent my Flextech 6000 away 2 years ago (pad straps started ripping).
-
Just had a phone call from SCS, Puma have sent a replacement pair. So I have a brand new pair waiting for me.
Just got to get to Taunton to collect them now!
-
Been and collected my new ones today!
-
Same with my gloves? ;

Look at middle on left side..

I soon as I took my brand new set out I could see the same thing just not as bad. And after 1 net it's happening again!
I'm not going to bother sending them off again. I tried on some Calibre 5000 gloves yesterday and I noticed the wrist band was very tight where as on my iridiums I have to do them up tight as they are a bit loser.
Probably would have gone with the calibres over the iridium if they had them when I bought them
-
I guess it is genetic problem in the gloves :D
-
Dislike this massivly as I am looking at buying them :( how are they apart from that?
-
Pretty sure that hasnt happened to mine. I love mine, well worth buying.
