Just like to see who has played against pro's and who you consider to be the better pro's played with or against.
At my club this year we are lucky to be graced with 2 pro's (well, one of them a released player) and lucky to played against alot of decent pro's and ex pro's at my club level.
At my Club, in our team we have had the likes of; Chris Drum, Roger Telemachus, Tony Pallidino, Richard Sherlock, Darren Robinson, Robert Rollins.
Have played against quite alot of ex pro's; Barry Hyam, Stephen Peters, Doug Hondo, Chris Lewis (before his little incident) Dev Gandhi, Richie Richardson, Graham Napier. Mohammed Akram
Best played with ; Chris Drum - Ex New Zealand international
Best Played against; Ravi Bopara - Enough said.
Like to hear who else has had the pleasure of playing with or against some decent players.

Sounds like you play a decent standard mate if you play in the ones!
-
Played in in the 1's all last year and for the last 6-7 years on and off, but was probably the worst season i personally have ever had. Hopefully change this year.
Doug Hondo played for Upminster, he had lost a few yards, but still could chuck it down.

Did he get called for chucking then? :D

Cheers for the thread. :)
Nice to see lots of names people have played with or against, always makes me wonder if the internationals ever played our standard.
Had a couple of nets with one of our knew bowlers, dont fancy fielding slips this year, its going to hurt.
Anyone else got pro's or internationals with them this year?

Grew up playing against Steven Davies, played against him quite a few times and he dominated the batting more than once. Looked a class player, head and shoulders above all other players when I was growing up from around my area.

Now now, you'll make me blush! Aha we played against a few decent ones, played against a lad called Warren Nel, midweek match, made 99 off 48 balls, but got out because he fancied the applause as opposed to waiting til the end of the innings!
-
against: carlos remy(sussex and leics) during the time he was playing for Leicestershire.
He was so quick it was frightening. after 10 overs of bouncers I asked my opening partner if we should try to get in line and he replied:''get in line and you will get killed''
also Alistair Campbell and Andy Flower on our tour of Cheltenham. Both got hundreds,Flower did not make a mistake and was like a machine. Both got bored and retired after 100.
I did get a fifty that game thou!
In the bar we asked if either would come and talk to us about batting and got told they were in bed.
It was half past 8 in the evening.
I kid you not..

Couple of guys at our club have played against Tresco and Warne. Bit before my time though.
-
Carlos Remy is a top bloke, he is still playing in the Essex leagues. He only bowls off a few steps now. Entertaining as a bat also.
Faced Charl Willoughby few years back in a national cup match, he was sharp!!
-
Willoughby swings it nicely! Quickest i've faced was Franklin Rose on a green top at the Wanderer's and Simon Jones before the knee injury. Had no idea anybody could be that quick off such a short run. He actually gave our number 11 a concussion that day!
