Hello,
I was reading in the paper today that cricket bat sales in Kashmir have risen 15 percent since the start of the world cup, this can only be a good and bad thing.
Good being greater income to India,
Bad being less EW bats out there.
Anyone else opinion

They mean the area in India called kashmir ;)

I know Leo, that is why I said greater income to India but they can't make English willow bats in India (shhot me down if I'm wrong) in india so therefore more people are buying EW nutured in india
-
Of course they make EW bats in India - we export willow out there, bring it back as a ready made bat and it's still cheaper than making it here.

I would say over 75 per cent of bats at least are made there English Willow proper English willow.
I would also say many of your bats and mine are made out there with some not even knowing.
In fact i including can anybody relay tell if there made out there.....
Funny i have herd some right wife tales about Indian made bats.
Bit sad realy willow is grown here shipped there and sent back all in the name of profit.
Guess people have to make a living
