I didnt want this to happen a week before my season starts especially when this bat has absolutely been flying in the nets

gutting, two guys broke bats at winter nets at my club, one guys handle snapped and the others bat snapped straight in half just below the splice

I don't think you'll be able to repair that, unless you take another half inch off the shoulder.

I only have one bat, if its going well then why switch bats around. Got a redback over the winter and sold it before really using it properly. Just because I loved my existing bat

 Only in cuckoo custombats land does everybody have a bat for a different day of the week - most cricketers have one bat and stick to it for a couple of seasons.

Well mate the bat looks a mess :( bad times.
And shilly.... I was a one bat man until I found this place. One bat, one set of pads, one set of gloves etc etc. Now I have about 4 of each haha.

On topic... See Mike he may be able to get the bat salvaged with a re-handle. Youll lose the shoulders though mate by the looks. Could go TT esque ??

Worst case scenario. . . .turn it into the bulldog type 20 20 bat, normal width and inch shorter blade.

Handle breaks are the most common type of bat repair. Obviously this ones unique but a bat repairer will be able to fix that no issue at all. As well as that all manufacturers offer a 12 month warranty on the bat. Not sure if talisman is different though.

In any case take it to ur closest bat repairer ASAP. It will probably take 2 weeks

1, Bright Pink Talisman stickers add 333% power increase to any Storm bat, the willow grade goes from 1 to 1+++++++++++++++++ after application.
2, Application of bright Pink Stickers require triple upgrade of bat handle to solid Titanium as Cane can no longer cope with massive power increase.
3, Owners who are a big deal and possess guns should always sign a disclaimer for breakages.
4, The bat is fully repairable with no shoulder drop and I will personally drive to the Essex border to meet Canners today, of course until I've grown my mullet and had a few spray tans I'll not be able to cross into the fair county.......

Watch out for that Talisman bloke, lock up your cheque book and pay pal account or he will start tempting you with some new wands...

On the point about having a net bat and match bat - I like to practice with the bat I am going to use in the middle as no two bats ever feel the same and you need to get used to the feel and pick up of a bat to help your timing in the middle.

We know that a bat will break - it is just a matter of when it breaks not if... as a result I accept that risk.
Canners in your case I am sure the bat will be returned to you looking sparkling and play like a long lost friend :)

My GM Icon LE shattered in innocuous circumstances last winter.

I had to fight back tears.

I can feel the pain of anyone having  bat fissure.

Any customers of mine in the last week that notice a sudden rise in the PING of their bat are to be warned that this bat was on my bench for a few days and the Pink Talisman stickers may have transferred power to other bats. Please do not be alarmed by the results and enjoy the extra kick. This bat is a big deal to a Big Deal and glad to have restored it for him.

I sent the photos to owzat.co.uk who passed them onto the good people at GM and they sent me a replacement ICON LE gratis for which I am eternally grateful.

Not as good as the beloved blade that shattered, but I am still extremely appreciative of the understanding and customer service of GM and owzat.co.uk.
