Title: the start of the bat making process (salix Ben)

just a quick post i am hoping to post stuff daily now just updates of what me and dan are upto in the workshop, today i have been grading out the clefts that we got from wrights and planing the face and edges and i have posted some pictures of the clefts before and after planing.

Can someone explain me Salix maker process? I mean who is BEn and Dan ? I thought Andrew Kember made all Salix bats :S

Ben and Dan still need to fine tune their photo uploading skills ;) try using photobucket lads much easier to get the pics up

hi, all just a quick post, today i have been putting the clefts through the table saw and the fourcutter with dan. ready to be spliced and the handles to be fitted.

hi all, over the past couple of days i have been machining and pressing the willow. one thing that i have found on very rare occasions when pressing is that on some clefts with red edge on it is sometimes is prone to cracking on the edge put this is very rare.
