I'm amazed SS are not reviewed, my ones are class and getting a second pair from Mike. Saying that, the Hawk ones are SS I suppose

Was  most certainly replacing my old SS with new SS.
Now thinking about the M&H. They look sweet.

Can they be as good or better?

In aus we don't really have an outlet where we can even try them for fit/feel.

Does nobody else think that Wisden tend to concentrate on the aethetics of the item rather than the performance? Especially the WK equipment. I take it "the don" isn't a gloveman?!

King Pair - welcome to the show.
And yes this is a very astute comment, couldn't agree more with you, but largely that is what makes players buy equipment

Thanks very m,uch Buzz, been reading the forum for a while but thought it was time to get involved.

I agree this seems to be the way equipment is selected (and each to their own i suppose) but I would just expect "good gear" and "good looking gear" to be differentiated slightly.

I'm in the market for a new pair peplow so I might have to find somewhere stocking those to have a look. I've struggled to buy anything other than kook silvers for the past 5 or so years but my most recent pair have now practically disintigrated so im gonna have a shop around. I've seen a few rating the SS gloves as well? Might be worth a look?

I would give this years SS Gladiators a look mate, I have the Players ones and some Camo LE ones which are pretty good.

Getting the new Puma Tricks 5000 gloves today as well so will have to work out what I like best and flog the other 2 on

You have to take a review like that with a pinch of salt when they mark a bat down for being too heavy. Does that make it somehow inferior or lacking in performance? No, just personal opinion. If they can do it with a bat they can do it with every piece of kit. It is useful as a guide to see what is available out there that might not be stocked in your local shop, but don't read too much into the scores.
