I need a new bag, and I thought while I'm at it I may as well try and get the biggest/most useful cricket bag out there. From looking on the internet the biggest one I've seen is the Slazenger V180 Ulimate? But I'm sure there is a bigger/better one.
Anyone have any opinions at what is the biggest and best bag?
-
i have a unbranded black bag bought from America which is twice the size of the biggest cricket bag if your after a massive bag
-
Just having a look at other threads (sorry I didn't do a search beforehand) and the Ayrtek bag looks appealing to me

I think I'm going to go for a cricket specific bag, thanks anyway

I've got the ayrtek bag and its definitely huge. couple of threads with images in the aytrek section.

The Ayrtek does look a top bag. I like the two cricket bat sections on it.

but its true! actually its true and its true :D
-
I had the 800 bag, it was big but too flimsy for me.
-
Well (with me being a nerd), I've compared the three bags (Ayrtek, Kooks, Slaz) in terms of size and volume and I think that the Ayrtek comes out as the biggest. So once I start playing cricket this season at the end of May... or if I can't wait, then when my student loan(!) comes in I'll probably get the Ayrtek. Cheaper than the Slaz and Kooks as well!
-
You also should check out the Warsop bag, I was looking at it not too long ago.
-
Stay clear of the Kook pro 1000 bag, its big for sure but poor quality and wont last a full season as mine is half a season old and its in a right state and im not one to damage kit.
-
Now that's made it interesting! Suppose I've got plenty of time to think it over... well that is unless I fall off the wagon and I have to return to 'kitaholics annonymous'!
Cheers Watsontotty, I'll keep that in mind.
But I must say, I like the fact that Tom @ Ayrtek is on this forum and the fact you can talk to him freely. So that may sway my vote
-
Hunts County clipper bags are nice and big
-
tbh I don't think you can go wrong with the Ayrtek bag, looks well made, lots of space and looks like it'll be durable. Also with Tom you're going to get top class customer service.
-
Biggest bag ive seen was my old one - cant remember exact model but it was a totr kook one, probs replaced by the pro 1000
in fact it was too big, check the size of your boot before buying a big bag lol

Yeah that's what I thought, I've read numerous threads on here praising his customer service
-
Ayrtek all the way. Superb bag, superb customer service.

Ahh haha I hadn't thought of this! I could always buy a duffle bag as well... I think the phrase 'all the gear no idea' comes to mind
-
Aha I was really happy with my massive shiny new bag then come first game of season and I had to try fit it In someones boot along with 2 or 3 other bags as I was 16 so not driving. There was a lot of bag related abuse last season!
I might get a duffle for nets, they're quite cheap generally so not too much outlay having 2 bags. Better all the gear no idea than no gear no idea anyway :-[

I ordered one of these last night, http://www.duckandrun.co.uk/Cricket-Luggage/2011-Duck-and-Run--Deluxe-Double-Decker-Wheelie-Bag/details
gets delivered tomorrow. :)
-
Anything that has duck on it can't be good..can it?... :o
-
that looks quite good for the money, can you post some pics when you get it? to see the quality etc.
-
yeah no worries, the shipping cost is just over £10 fyi
-
You can't go wrong with an Arytek. Love mine and I have a lot of crap, fits in nicely
-
the ayrtek does look a good bag, i just don't think i can justify spending that much on a bag, might just use my duffle, and leave the rest in the boot

I've never been the biggest fan of double deckers, I find you have to be careful the way you pack your equipment. Otherwise it can be top heavy and topple over. I just like to chuck everything in as quick as possible!

Give us a agoutis u decide u want one, fair few lads on here have one now as a good 20+ have gone out since the new batch arrived last month!
-

But yeah I'll give you a shout, which would be better? PM through here? or on your website?

The surridge bag is very big. . .
-
Either one mate both come into me :)

Okay instead of starting a new thread I thought I may as well carry on from where I left off... It seems that my willow-holism has struck again and I need a bag that will fit 3 bats (despite being a lower order/tailender batsman :P), either with three bat pockets, or two bat pockets and enough room within the bag to accommodate the third bag.
Am I right in thinking the Ayrtek only has 2 bat pockets? But does it have an internal pocket big enough for a third bat?
-
Ayrtek has 2 external bat pockets. Bag section is split into 2 sections. You will not be able to fit a bat in these sections.
-
ayrtek is a lovely bag but. as the front doesnt open up all way find it hard routing about for my kit lol

Ive managed to fit one inside mine, you must have more kit than me.
-
yeah a bat fits into the bottom bit just dont put it in the middle of the bag!
-
Does it :o I will try later then. with the top section full my pads height is at the limit.
-
these have 3 separate bat compartments http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=11082.0

-

Tom,
What is the price of one of your bags? I forgot how much you said last time.
-
Warsop do a bag that has a compartment for 3 bats.
-
Tom is the main compartment split into sections
-
I have a massive aero bag that is big enough for a club that I might consider getting rid of. You could easily fit twenty bats in it...
-
as per website mate....yeh top pocket is separate from the main section but can fit a fair amount into both as keep all my clothing etc in the top and batting kit in the main one.
main pocket is just one big one tho!
