Just wanted to say a big thank you to Mike for getting me the gear I have just taken delivery of.
Say what you want about him, but the man delivers and I for one am very grateful. He will be the first to admit he can be crap at emailing, but am over the moon at the Masuri lid, SS keeping gloves and couple of other bits. Prices were better than most places and his over-excitement with the fragile tape certainly brightened up my morning.
Nice one Brimble
-
You can sell me one of your SS gloves bow then ;)
-
Pair*
-
Just waiting on my stuff but mike always seems to come through
-
Reds they are lovely, will stick a pic up later on. Green camo and soft as you like.
Went for the Green Ti as club colours, looks quite nice
-
Just got my stuff as well many thanks brimbleator
-
Got mine too. Cheers Mr B.
-
Some of the Talisman bats I have are just too good. And then he just tempts me into buying other gems which costs me more money! Plus it puts me in danger every time the wife takes another bat shaped package from the postman!
So yes - he always delivers and gets some amazing bats and is a decent bloke! But your bank manager and wife will hate him!!!
-
Mike - the lid you have sent me, are they the 2011 ones? I don't see any difference from last years to be honest, still very light and well put together. I know some people were saying last years ones were a lot better
-
It's only the ti grill that's changed for the worse I think.
-
top bar looks thicker and a slight change in shape might be wrong though
-
Really? Well the one I seem to have doesn't look overly big. We are talking in mm I imagine? Must say I am pretty happy with it, my first Masuri anyway
-
Top bar is twice as thick and finish has changed to being pickled I think its called.
-
Stick pics on then we'll know what mean mate...

not the greatest of pictures sorry
-
Not a vast amount of difference is there if we are being picky about it!
-
By the finish I meant it not smooth and shiny anymore!
-
If I don't get on with it I will just swap my mates when he's not looking ;) Does seem odd why you would add more 'girth' shall we say
-
I've had both and it makes no difference whatsoever mate
-
Will post them SS gloves later for you mate
-
Why do you need a helmet any way will on that artificial
-
Because we have these crazy things called away games mate ;) Plus we are only using the road until the square is fit for use, basically only this season. Plus do a lot of keeping up and useful thing to have in your locker
-
You play away games ?
Just winding you up but if standing up you need a ask mask not a helmet surely
-
Would never wear a mask mate, not my sort of thing
-
Well not far away now who you got first game
-
Hinstock away which is apparently a roll it up and take it home with you sort of pitch. Where are you first game?
-
From what I have been told of hinstock the boundary is the 30 yard circle as well
We have cound away not the easiest 1st game as they have the quickest bowler in league( who doesn't like me ) plus a couple of decent bowlers plus are gobby sh*ts
-
haha yeah I have heard the Hinstock pitch is small, although have a couple of bowlers who hit the deck. what's the name of that bowler?
-
Alex Johnson for me the quickest when he wants to be but there is debate
-
You play your league matches on astro??
-
He does ;) wuss
-
Pictures of the lovely bat please?
I am assuming they are gone to parlour...
-
It's not our fault!
We have just moved to a new ground. The club was a pub team a few years back so have come on a fair way since then. Astro has/is being laid and we will play on that for the first season whilst the square has a chance to sort itself out, then come next year we will be on grass etc. You have to put up with stuff like this when the club is young, I am sure we have all been there at some point

thats a bargain, i'm tempted to pick up another pair, going to try and find this years gladiators for a decent price
-
I have those camo ones and the all blue camo LE players edition ones. Will have a look at Gladiators and Kook Silvers in the future, am selling my customs
-
ahh yeah, the gladiators seem to be about £45 everywhere at the moment :/
-
You just need to find somebodys initials the same as yours lol
-
I have another pair of SS LE in Green Camo, I've worn them in one game, £25.
-
I can vouch for the quality of those gloves. They are softer than Pumas, yet considerably cheaper.
Reds - if you are reading this mate, it's money well spent.
-
I'm tempted by the offer by Mike ... I can't find a link to them tho to see what they look like...
