Who do you think will shine in 2009?
1) Dawid Malan - Had a great 2008 really shone towards the end of the season and was key in Middlesex's 20/20 campaign.
2) Xavier Marshall - Clearly a great player with a lot of talent, will be a force to be reckoned with in 09.
3) Ajantha Mendes - Sri Lankas new spin sensation toppled many great batsman in just a handful of tests in 2008, can he do the same in 2009?

Eoin Morgan
Suresh Raina
Gautam Gambhir
Stuart Broad

Duminy

Mendis for bowling

Joe Denly and Rashid
I hear that name every year, "Adil Rashid is gonna be great", "Rashid will be one of the best players this year" but each year he fails to 'step up to the plate' if thats the right term.
-
I'd say he had a very good season last year, 62 county championship wickets and 516 runs including a century.
-
And got himself on an england tour.
Ponting
AB De Villiers
Broad

i dont think selectors have been keen on rushing him! quality player by all accounts good season last year
-
what about Graham Napier, there was some talk of him being rushed to India for the one days when ENG was loosing their matches one after the other.
Adil Rashid, I hope he gets a few games in. Not too much. But just to give him a peep into the demands of International cricket.
-
I'd like to see Steve Croft at Lancs kick on from a very good (if potentially low key) 2008.
-
Napier had 2 good innings in the 2020 last year and that's all. Mascharanous is alot better than Napier.
-
Xavier Marshall
JP Duminy
Morne Morkel
Ajantha Mendis
Leon Johnson
-
Mitchell Johnson
Jp Duminy
Matt Hayden (If he gets runs in the sydney test watch out england)
Tamim Iqbal
-
On the Rahid issue if Martin Moxon says hes not hes not ready! Martin will know better than anyone

I'm a fan of Crofty too, I think he can become a key all rounder in the one day game and a decent batter in the County Championship. He has had some decent knocks but is inconsistent at the moment, I think he is playing for Auckland at the moment.
-
Micheal Johnson will be a great player in 2009 I rekon
-
What about Hasim Amla. He had a good 2008 and should do well in 2009.
Chris Gayle.....if he keeps batting like the way he's been doing lately, he should be the one to watch out for
-
How could I miss out Ishant Sharma. He tormanted the Aussies (especially Ricky) down under and again in India
