3lb - 3lb 5oz

-
Next will be

8-12 grains not to botherd about butterfly stains
decent amount of wood in the toe

yep :) thats the one i got off matt in the £150 deal
-
Personally I'd consider that a higher middle?
-
From use I'd say its a mid middle, its certainly not high as a GT and its not as low as my Hattori
-
Beautiful shape though, I considered a H4L before and was going to use that picture as a guide!

looking at the picture again it does look quite high, from use i'd say its around the devil branding on the side. The profile is similar to that on GN nitro, although this ones got thicker edges than most GN's i've seen

Hi Jimba, when you're driving do you feel like you are sriking the ball in the middle most of the time or would you say that you would have the middle slightly lower?

Feels like its coming right out the middle mate, having said that i have mainly used it on bouncy indoor tracks so its gonna be hitting higher up the bat. i used it outside at nets this week and it was fine too, but i'd have to use it in a few games before i could tell you for sure. Although i do have a lower middled hattori as back up so i've got the issue covered ;) heres a pic of the hattori profile

Those are great, i love both shapes. I've been in contact with the guys from Hell4leather about getting a L.E. cleft made up in a shape inbetween the 666 and Hattori. Maybe with the middle slightly lower that your 666. They have taken a while to get back to me with any info or pics of clefts. Getting a bit frustrated cause i'd like to get it done but hopefully it would be well worth the wait.
-
I've got a couple of pics of LE clefts from a couple of weeks back, I'll PM you when I get in so you can see how good they actually are. It will definatly be worth the wait if mine are anything to go by mate
-
Thanks mate, would appreciate that. Gonna try and get some softs from them as well.
Anyway, back on topic!
My specs:
Weight 2lb9oz finished.
10+ grains.
Mid to low middle.
Thin oval handle
Generous edges at +- 35mm with not too much concaving.
-
Love the H4L's Jimba.
My specs:
Weight: 2.10 finished with chevron grip. Then spiral added on top.
Grains: 9-12
Mid middle
Light pick-up
Standard thickness oval handle
a small amount/no concaving
not overly fussed about edge sizes - I leave that to the bat maker.
-
2.9/2.10
oval handle
low middle
dont have a preference over concaving
long middle
light'ish pickup
oh and i like 3/4 grips :)
-
I don't ask for much... this is what Andy and I discussed for my bat...! I would emphasise that I said how I played and Andy came up with the commentary, other than the handle.
Weight - 2-9 or 2.10
Right handed batsman
standard short handle
large oval handle
middle position - mid to low - about 6 inches from the bottom
Classic SAF style off-set edge
nice bow
mix between audix and traditional shape
reasonable sized edges, but with more of a focus on spine height.
resulting feel of a good swing weight/balance for a mainly front footed top order player (who likes a moo over cow)
obviously the standard requirement for a massive middle, a gunshots/rifle sound whenever the ball comes off the middle and pick up so light the bat feels like a wand
I gave no instructions regarding number of grains - but did ask for a relatively clean bit of willow if possible.
-
Don't ask for much then buzz
-
2lb 10oz
9 grains if possible
ever so slightly higher sweet spot
sweeping profile
good size meat
slight oval
-
Don't ask for much then buzz

People don't know what profile means.
Or feel that aesthetics are part of a profile (which, incidentally, I agree with you on).
-
2.7-2.8

2p sized edges
