Post by: slcric on April 19, 2011, 05:56:04 AM
I was wondering who makes Ayrtek's softs as i'm looking for a reliable contact who can provide me with a one off production.Or is there any other manufacturer i can get a one off softs kit done?

Tom stitches them together in his back room. I hear he's quite the needle master

I can't imagine he'll divulge where he gets things made, but try some of the Indian manufacturers, http://www.sscricket.com/ or http://www.sgcricket.com/ is where I imagine a decent amount of companies get their pads made.

Not many companies will make a one off set as it's too time consuming as you would be charged £100+ for a pair of gloves and £150+ to cover the time it would take.

It takes a few iterations to perfect any design usually and if ur only ordering one set then where are they going to make their money ???

If you're going to take his logo off it, then there's everything wrong with it if it's his design!

i wanted to put my own logo and thats why i wanted a small company to do it.If i wanted to literally RIP his logo off and put mine on i could have done it at home! But it wouldn't be neat. And i aint stealing his design either. Jeez guys go easy!

So in fact rather than find out who makes the soft's and get them to rip off the design you want Ayrtek to make you a custom set of their gloves. Now this is slightly different, email Tom for a price, but it won't be cheap, however you do have the funds so all good.
