Yes, depending on how far it goes down?

I'm sure there are loads of people on here who've had bats do this and it looks worse than it is usually.

Plus the only thing I'm wondering is if it needs a rehandle as it looks like it and the splice area has gone inwards if you know what i mean

Pls find pics of face and then you will know why I wish this to be back on the cricket field

Have you sought the opinion of the batmaker?

Ive spoken to Charlie and he said send it for him to look at and see what he can do with it, but in all honesty I just want to know if it is really worth it I don't think it will be the same again once the handle goes just messes up pick up and balance well for me anyway, might come in handy as a net bat

Might be worth trying to send him the pics before you send the bat then. As knowledgeable as this place is, the person most qualified to answer your question is probably the bloke who made it.

Will do mate thanks for your advise just hope he can do somethinwas flying in nets over winter and now the season is here I dont have a match bat

Made the classic mistake of using a decent stick in the nets

I know exactly what you mean mate, had a previous bat that needed a handle replaced, once it was the bat was never the same

Think I might just get a new one or ask for it to be replaced I only got this towards the end of last season

Simple fix, just a rehandle and glue the shoulder before refitting, unless it has gone further than the photo's show it will not lower the performance. I've done a few of these this year with various brands, not had any problems.
