South Africa skipper Graeme Smith will miss the Twenty20 and one-day matches against Australia in an attempt to recover from a chronic elbow injury.
Smith will fly home after the third and final Test but is expected play in the three-Test home series against Australia, which starts in February.

How much do you think this will affect the Saffers chances? Personally, with Hashim Amla the most likely to replace him (I think), they shouldn't be too affected, although it will be a blow without his captaincy and experience.

Amla would have played no matter what arthur hes been in some good odi form recently
