My beloved bat broke tonight, the best bat I've ever had started to sound really weird and has cracked from under the binding and down the back a bit.
Just want to know if there is any way to save it whilst retaining feel.
Pics up in a second.

All of the pictures are the same but some are better than the others

Anyone able to advise?
-
tlc need to open the crack and glue it but not sure on how long it will last :P
-
is that the champ???
Got a similar problem with my Private Bin mate keep glueing after every 2 or 3 games unfroutunatly
-
don't see why it wont repair and last for a fair while
-
It is the champ...
My mate has offered me his pretty much new GM Luna 808 for £100, I will have a go with that.
The bat still goes, but sounds horrible

Funny enough I have been to Kippax today with the same problem and it's repairable with glue. Mine is handle related and I need the handle to break first, but a friend had the same problem as yourself and they replaced the handle and glued it up. The PVA glue is stronger than the wood, so it should last if properly fixed - the glue needs to get all the way into the crack or the crack will just continue down the bat.
Chris reckoned it's caused by the binding on the bottom inch of the handle not being tight enough and allowing flex.
-
I have just re-glued the bottom couple of lines of binding
-
The top shoulder of the bat I can pull away quite a bit. So could get glue in the top but not down to the bottom of the crack
-
Rehandle, cut the existing one out, open up and glue the breaks and then rehandle, the breaks will be caused by the handle fitting anyway so no point in keeping it in.
-
How much would a rehandle and repair be mike? Would I lose the stickers I paid £27 for!?
My mate has offered me his nearly new Luna 808 for £100
Don't know whether to repair or replace
-
if its your fave bat, get it repaired

The crack measures 16cm out from under the binding and rather than going straight down it seems to diagonally into the blade. As if it slice the top layer of wood off when it goes
