Title: Canterbury Whites
Post by: alexrickyponting on April 29, 2011, 07:45:45 PM
I'm interested in peoples opinions/experiences with Canterbury Whites, especially the fielding ones as i have just purchased some.
Also does anyone know what difference there is between the "pro" and "test" shirts and trousers? The test ones say they are designed to be worn with canterbury baselayers, are they uncomfortable without them?
The "pro" and "test" whites seem quite hard to obtain in a Large, anyone know of any available at a decent price?
Last question - are canterbury worth the extra over cheapo whites as a whole?
Thanks in advance for any info

The trousers i have found to be very good and worth the extra as they have lasted loads of abuse from my tendency to dive around at any chance!

Do you notice a difference when diving then? I assume the fielding ones are fine to bowl/bat in yes?

Yeh they are great to bat in, i like the fact the buttons allow you to flare the bottoms when fielding! Big fan, they are very durable so not going to rip when you dive or slide noticed a lack of friction burns as well which is a bonus

That's good to know. Aha 80's disco style ;)
I tend to bounce rather than slide normally so it's bruises not friction burns that aare my affliction but they still seem like nice trousers :)

Pro just had coloured piping whilst test had coloured panels when they 1st did it, whites are very good as used the since 05 and stick with them so very durable.

They do bowling as well as fielding ones with sections to shine the ball on. Batted in my fieldig ones for 80 odd last week and didn't have an issue. They have a Lycra crotch area to avoid ripping too!!
