Title: SS with two names?

hey guys im not sure if this is the right place for this quick questions but is SS (Sareen sports) and SS (Sundridges) the same?

presumably you mean Stuart Surridge for the other SS and the answer is no.

Sareen and Sundridges are the same company.

And yes slcric, Sunridges and Sareen Sports are the Indian SS. Don't remember when they switched names to the latter, they used to call themselves SS Sunridges several years ago.

And SS to the Brits means Stuart Surridge ... but I believe they are a thing of the past now? They made the famous laminate bat that Gooch used for his triple century against India ...

Stuart surridge very much still around. Biggest supplier of kit to  county championship sides. Also selling retro turbo and jumbos.

nope different company now Surridges bought the name and are a totally different company. part owned by Warren Hegg (Lancashire and England

Dave, to the man in the street, like me, the fact that I can buy Stuart surridge kit from them means they are around. Don't really care who owns them. Much like somerfield being a totally different company to the one I knew 15 years ago, but still on the high street.

Bats are not the same quality though of the Stuart surridges of the past though that was my point Tim sorry...
