For all us people who bowl a lot (or just in nets). What foods/drinks that are reasonably healthy, that are a good source of energy
-
I always have a banana before I bowl. I also have a bottle of water/sports drink on the boundary to keep hydrated. Usually something carby such as muesli and apples will also be good!
-
Garlic Chilli Chicken and Kingfisher Blue.
-
Carbs before you start playing mate, porridge for breakfast and then as the chap said above, banana before you go out to field
3 bensons also does the trick ;)
-
Red Bull
-
Got to agree with the talisman.
-
Carbs n plenty of fluids
-
I had my best bowling figures after a burger king an hour before the game started, followed by a red bull.
My previous best figures came after a fry up and a red bull!
Also make sure you have had plenty of beer the night before, hangover bowling is better as you dont over think things!
-
being less flippant, carb load the night before, and a single energy drink on the day will be enough.
-
Lucozade!!
-
I have had some of my best games after a big night out..Cricket and League
-
cant go wrong with frijj
-
Took on a 16oz burger topped with Chilli Beef and Onion Rings the night before our first league match in Starvin Marvin's, worked a treat, full of energy all day.
-
is that how you keep your athletic frame ?
-
It's hard work but worth the pain!!!
-
do those muesli bars work??
-
cant go wrong with frijj
You just took the words right out of my mouth mate, frijj always does the trick for me.
Porridge in the morning for breakfast, some pasta like an hour before the game and then a banana along with some other fruit in the changing rooms just before going out. Obviously loads of water or whatever sports drink floats your boat. I personally don't bother with them, water does the job
