Horrid thing cramp. When exercizing n sweating u lose a lot of Salt from your body. I usually find a Salty bag of chips, Salty crisps, or b4 excersize a glass of orange juice with a pinch of salt helps prevent cramp.

A nice scented bath with bubbles surrounded by candles, include bath salts and you will be fine.
Make sure you have a model battleship to make you feel manly ;)

Do stretch before and after the game. It helps your body to loosen up.
Do eat a banana or two during the game.
Stay hydrated throughout the day. Try some gatorade (as its helps you keep your salt levels up as well). After game, try some protein shake as it will help repair wear and tear of muscles.

Gatorade! Love it, reminds me of waterboy!

magnesium tablets before you play sport should help.
then a nice sports massage after the game.
one is easier to attain than the other!

Cramp can be down to a number of things, I suffer quite badly when playing hockey when the weather is a bit warmer which is a combination fatigue/poor fitness and poor hydration on my part.
You could replace the salts by drinking Dioralyte after the game.....although I've taken to drinking one serving the morning of a hockey game and haven't suffered with cramp since.

I used to get diabetes-related cramps after a long day playing. The doctor advised drinking some tonic water prior/after games because the quinine inside does something that stops it. I haven't had anything cramp related since and that was a good two years ago
