Title: CJI flextech style...

What does everyone think of these pads? Would I just be better off with Flextechs?

get proper flextechs, i briefly had a pair very similiar and they were awful pads, it would have been more comfortable to wear corregated steel around my legs!
they dig in in all sorts of places, they are quite weighty from what i remember, look horrible and the protection isn't anything special.

The Robinson's flextechs look pretty cool on how they become keeping pads, not seen them yet in person though.

Just make sure you dont get hit on the top hat while batting or they become keeping pads automatically ;)

They look ok - look a bit heavy and bulky!

i was very tempted by the cji pads but then i decided on canterbury cuts instead, which i have to say are exceptionally light and pretty comfy

you could always try the new adidas pads they are a similar style, theres club for about £30 and top of th range for £80ish

Hmmm anyone know how light the canterburys are compared to other pads?

The CJIs look aweful. The colors are too loud. I prefer the Puma flextechs. The new Iridium's are good looking.

I prefer the more traditional looking pads though.

Rang up Roksport as they only had Small Mens on their website. They said they will send me medium size and wrote a note, then I made my order online :)
Hope they remember to send the right pads!

I like the canterburys a lot, theyre not too weird but theyre half as light as most normal pads. Also apparently theyre shaped so you can get more leg byes haha!

The ball does fly off them (which can be a positive or negative in certain situations). Sorry I didn't get back to you about sizes but if you're 5'10" as you say then the mediums should definitely fit you perfectly

i dont really get what your on about. is getting bowled off your pads when the ball hits your pads and rolls back on to the stumps?
