What does everyone think of these pads? Would I just be better off with Flextechs?
-
get proper flextechs, i briefly had a pair very similiar and they were awful pads, it would have been more comfortable to wear corregated steel around my legs!
they dig in in all sorts of places, they are quite weighty from what i remember, look horrible and the protection isn't anything special.
-
Cheers slogger... anyone got any cheap places to get 6000 flextech batting pads from? (RH)
-
The Robinson's flextechs look pretty cool on how they become keeping pads, not seen them yet in person though.

Just make sure you dont get hit on the top hat while batting or they become keeping pads automatically ;)
They look ok - look a bit heavy and bulky!
-
i was very tempted by the cji pads but then i decided on canterbury cuts instead, which i have to say are exceptionally light and pretty comfy
you could always try the new adidas pads they are a similar style, theres club for about £30 and top of th range for £80ish
-
Hmmm anyone know how light the canterburys are compared to other pads?
Sultan did you post a review on these pads?
-
no i havent i have got cricket commitee at 7.30 but will post pics and review afterwards.
i have read somewhere that canterbury front pad is 100g lighter than aero front pad
-
Thanks Sultan - I look forward to it :)
-
The CJIs look aweful. The colors are too loud. I prefer the Puma flextechs. The new Iridium's are good looking.
I prefer the more traditional looking pads though.
-
had the canterbury pads, as sultan says they are really nice pads and are lighter than everthing bar aero etc
-
Finally ordered some pads, went with Canturbury Cut Medium RH for just £22 :D
-
Where you pick them up from Leo?
-
hope u like them leo!
-
Rang up Roksport as they only had Small Mens on their website. They said they will send me medium size and wrote a note, then I made my order online :)
Hope they remember to send the right pads!
-
Why not get normal pads leo? lol
-
I like the canterburys a lot, theyre not too weird but theyre half as light as most normal pads. Also apparently theyre shaped so you can get more leg byes haha!

The ball does fly off them (which can be a positive or negative in certain situations). Sorry I didn't get back to you about sizes but if you're 5'10" as you say then the mediums should definitely fit you perfectly
-
Great thanks :)
-
i think you have got a good deal there leo, i thought mine were cheap for £40
-
Idiots now telling me they've sent me small as they dont have medium!!! Not happy.
Dear ,
Sorry for the confusion but we have only got a small in this item sorry for the inconvenience.

-
These pads would fit a midget lol... theyre 20" long from top to highest.
If I were you acko I'd cancel your order!
-
sold my flextechs, got bowled 2 or 3 times off my pad last season
-
You could have just hit the ball??
-
cause i didn't try and hit it or anything.... and everyone i've known that uses flextechs has found it has happned at least once to them
-
i dont really get what your on about. is getting bowled off your pads when the ball hits your pads and rolls back on to the stumps?
