Just out of interest, we have all pretty much now seen the adidas kit and I wanted to know what people thought of it... To be honest I think it looks aweful (but am I an adidas target customer??)
I mean here is James Taylor (nice lid by the way) - http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-sri-lanka-2011/content/image/515800.html?object=297635
but I think it just looks odd.
Personally i am not sure what I like least, the pads or the gloves. What do you guys think
-
Pads look dreadful, gloves look ok, kind of motocross style
-
Pads look (No Swearing Please). Gloves look (No Swearing Please). Quite like the bat stickers though and I enjoyed the picture where taylors bat was in the air a couple of metres away from him lol
-
Both pads and gloves are beyond terrible. Very very ugly softs indeed
-
Hahaha! I like the Pads and hate the gloves....!
I have always been dubious of big sports companies becoming involved in cricket in general as it is very specialist however Puma have proved me very wrong so I am willing to give Adidas the benefit of the doubt. I am waiting on the Nike softs that must surely appear at some point soon...built in pedometer? Ipod dock? Bluetooth? Can't wait :D

You forgot the Integrated drinks holder
-
You missed off the "nonchalant shrug" option.

Sorry Tim, I hope I have now made appropriate amends.
-
Pads are alright...... not my favourite. Don't like the gloves at all though.
-
I like them, think they look unique, not sure how they would feel tho :/ anyone tried/have them>
-
I like the gear, cool branding/styling and an offering unlike anyone elses on the market.
I don't quite get what they're doing with their top of the range gear though, that few shops stock and none of their pros wear.
-
its more of a sideline to boost brand recognition i think than an effort to make money, they could easily sponsor every england player to use their kit without making a dent in their marketing budget.
i wonder who designs the kit though? the people at HQ in Germany perhaps....???
-
Their head office in the UK's up in Stockport, maybe some folk there?
