After speaking to the Leicester physio after the incident they have managed to track down the video footage of the blow that JT took.

As you can see from the pic, the grille and helmet worked in combination with each other to keep him safe and he continue to complete his innings....incidentaly this was the 2nd hit he took in the same game!

Good old Dernbach, I like how for a second it looked like he might have been hurt as he bent over taking off his helmet then just walked off to square leg aha

Out of interest, is it still possible to receive concussion etc whilst not taking a cricket ball directly to the skin?
