We have one bat soon coming up for a review. We ask that everyone interested in reviewing this bat posts here (in this section, not thread!) with a review of their current bat, the best reviewer will then be selected and will be sent a new bat to pass their critical eye over and to also use for a period of time.
We felt this was the best way to find a suitable reviewer, and if you wish to be considered get posting in this section.
-
In your reviews please include information about, looks, performance in net, performance in match, general feel, good points, bad points and any other things you wish to comment on.
-
Further to the above post, I hope to have the bat which is to be reviewed by Mid-August time. So if we can please have all reviewers that want to be considered posting in this section by then.
Thanks
-
Final push please for all those who want to be considered for the review.
Reviewer will be chosen on the 15th August.

Been let down by who was originally supplying the bat, so I'll supply an Itias instead. If we can get all reviews in by tomorrow would be great so I can post the bat on Friday ready for the weekend. Interested to see how this particular bat performs as it's a different shape to all the others I ordered.
-
who was it originally?
-
It's irrelevant, but they're not a current advertiser anyway.
-
After speaking with the other admin, it has been decided that Liam_SCCC will have the bat for trial. He was chosen due to having a good mix of pics and explanation. His bat is going off later today, so should be there tomorrow.
-
i can't wait for it to come, will knock it in as quick as possible to get a great review for you guys
-

Hi,
Has anyone used the latest bat from New Balance.
Cheers.
-
Hi, this is my first post and I am a 16 year old playing county cricket. At the moment I have come to the end of using my kookaburra rogue 200 which has been a phenomenal bat in the nets and on the track over the last two years. The looks are amazing, there is a medium-low middle on it and the edges are approximately 36mm. The only downside to this bat is that they had placed and artificial grain face on this which was very appealing at the time of purchase. The effects of this is that it slowly wears of leaving your bat to look as of there are a lot of cracks on it. Now I am looking to purchase a gm 606/808 f4.5 2014.

Not seen any. Since you seem familiar with the brand, you should write one up!

The ones I have seen were horrible.

Their website makes me feel ill, and their stickers too. Couldn't pay me to use their products.

Have you been to the factory, had a tour of his workshop and seen the quality and selection of the LIMITED EDITION bats?
James makes a beautiful bat, no computer technology bs, everything is carved from suffolks finest timber. He's even changed the shapeofvmine cutting weight from the top and running the spine to the bottom, with a straight nose that makes a 2-13 pick up like a 2-7.
Judge the bat by the stickers is not the way to go, I've got adidas pellaraelite sat here and for all its prettystickers and slick website it's a plank and it's going on eBay as we speak.
-
I've heard some good ones in my time. But a pick up 6oz lighter than dead weight! Wow that's as Stonker.
Forget computer bs, we got some massive pick up bs right here.
-
I've been to James workshop, lovely part of the world
Blokes a nice chap too,(for a Yorkshireman ) with a wealth of knowledge in the bat making industry.
The bats he's knocking out now are not bad for the money, I've not seen any of his ltd stuff, and I'm not sure how many decent clefts he gets from wrights, as I'm sure he's a long way down their pecking order.
I think once you've seen some of the bats posted on here, and maybe visited a few more bat makers and seen just what's out there with regards to quality both in looks and performance , you will understand people's comments.
One of the best bats I've had, was a grade two Ace from when James worked there

Ah this old chestnut, i've seen it rear its head in a few topics recently. What does a 2'7 feel like?
