After some hard graft in the field, what are your remedy's for a sore back after a game?
I have only ever used a scolding hot bath, but i am now tending to think that the extreme heat is only taking my mind off from the aching.
Anyone try things differently?

Arnica gel.

I have also tried that tiger balm, but wasnt happy my bed linen stank for many washes.
Is that Arnica gel like deep heat ?

2 options. Either get hold of a foam roller and use that, or get a tennis ball, and roll against the affected area against a wall/floor. Will do wonders, I promise!!

It's a homaeopathic(?) remedy made into a gel. Stinks like very potent alcohol until dried then just disappears. It's unbelievable stuff, just completely deadens the pain without leaving any lasting tingling, heat, cold etc. Relatively cheap as well, so as long as it's just muscle ache, pain, not a longstanding injury or damage then I would swear by it :D

I asked the Mrs to get me some and she said that there alot of variations (cremes, mouse and gel) which one should i try and one other thing,, DOES IT BURN???????? lol

It's proper name is atrogel, its in a white tube with a yellow flower on the front. And no it doesn't burn at all. It really is very good.

You can pick it up cheaper, but that is what it looks like :)

I use white tiger balm for my back. Gets rid of the pain, but use sparingly, it can burn if you use too much

The trick with tiger balm is to have it rubbed well into the strained area.

Voltaren does the job.. Not sure if you guys can get it over there though
