Didn't take a very high catch cleanly and knackered the little finger on my left hand. Can't move it and very painful.
Now in a & e waiting for someone to tell me the worst.
Think I need some cheering up. Over to you lot!
-
Check out to see if any fit nurses are in there and tell them you have a groin strain too!!!!! Needs looking at lol!!!!!
-
If a big doctor comes into your room with a lubed up latex glove on RUN!
-
look on the bright side, it is only your finger are you aren't being told, this may sting a little...
average wait time is 2 hours so not long to go now...
-
Lewisham casualty. Seriously lacking fit nurses.....
-
Ahh mate have tied the groin pull yet!!!! Its a good un the lovely nurse will shave your balls and crutch then examine you they have to get into all the cracks for a thorough examination lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Male nurses are commonplace these days, Id pass on the colonic irrigation myself.
-
Feel for you!! I spent 2 days in hospital and had to have surgery due to cricket at the start of the season. Although, it deffo wasnt my little finger.
It could be worse, you could be in Queens hospital in Romford, although the people watching entertainment is top draw there, more so on a Friday and Saturday night.
Being in Lewisham, you odds on for someone coming in either with a gun wound other gang related ;)
-
Tim, if it's any consolation, you're not missing Ana Ivanovic playing at Wimbledon at the moment nor is she, as ever, stunning. Nope, not at all.
God love the red button.

charlotte, the casualty doctor is very cute! If I wasn't practically married I'd be trying it on!

Grab a quick photo! I broke my little finger doing the same thing and its got a very strange bend to it now. Still nervous in the slips as another break on it and it would be bye bye little finger...cheered you up yet :-[ :( was back playing after a fortnight so not too bad

One of our guys tonight got under a skyer, the ball was dropping and he only got a finger tip to it.
It snapped the tip of his finger at the first joint backwards at 90 degrees splitting his finger too
very nasty

Best thread ever
Feels like family ;)
-
Timbo, the best you can hope for is a can of Lilt and a Toffee Crisp from the machine, a 3 month old copy of 'Guns & Tractors' magazine and a 4 hour wait.
Best way to pass the time is to have a really satisfying crap in the disabled toilet.
Been there - dislocated that!

Glad the ball was dropping else you'd be the Moons first cricket team
very nasty

Just like Scrubs. There's always one doctor who makes you drop your trousers no matter what the injury....
We've got a guy out for 12 weeks after wearing one on the glove from a slow/medium bowler. Really innocuous
-
Thanks for keeping me amused. The doc didn't want any pics taking, sadly.
Turns out I have a fractured finger and won't be playing for 6 weeks... :(
-
6 weeks for a broken little finger...!!! that is rediculous, have you had it operated on?
If not you will be back in 3 (possibly missing 4 saturdays...!)
-
They were close to operating, so I am awaiting the clinic next week.
-
I wouldn't be too worried mate, I broke my toe last year and they told me 6 weeks... turned out to be about 6 days before I gave in and played again lol
