Top effort mate. I really like the top one.
-
Great work fella, I'm liking the profile on the 2nd one.
If you don't mind me asking what did you use for the concaving.....and how did you get the toe guards so neat!?
-
thanks for the feedback guys
travishers and round bottomed planes for the concaving. toe guard wise i trim them with a sharp knife once glued and set and then sand them flush with a decent sander. use inflatable drums. gotta be careful though as they soon can take willow away where you didnt want to.
i like both shapes. think the lower one would look better if it was also in grade 1. both were made to order for guys at my club. both happy customers.
-
Thanks for the info, I wasn't brave enough to try concaving on my first effort but will give it a go on my next one.
Not sure I will go to the expense of getting a decent sander yet, seeing as you are making bats to order it is probably worth it!

Loving the grade 3 shape, looks a flyer.
-
both fly! more to do with the pressing i think than the shaping.
-
They both look awesome! I'd be happy to pay for either of them!
can i have one? ;D haha.
But in all seriousness, they look superb!
-
Already with customers sorry. Can make you one if you want! Thanks for the feedback
