I bought this 666 5* mid may and received it last week (wasn't in a hurry). I am bloody stoked, it is a ripper of a bat, can't wait till this week's winter game as I am certain to use it.
Spec's are:
31/32mm edges at their biggest
mid-high middle
9 grains
Heartwood on the inside edge.
knocked in, oiled and faced
Standard Blade and Standard SH
Weighed it and it weighs 2lb9.7 with my grip set up, according to my scales.
Have used it in the backyard with a ball in a stocking and it feels very good. Come match time it will fly.

I was just unsure as to why the gap between order and delivery was.
LE willow does give you the shivers of excitement when you first hit a ball out of the middle :)
-
That looks bang on. Massive for the weight!
-
Looks top buddy.
You say In your winter game.... What sort of temp/conditions is this likely to be....?
-
Who are you playing for in winter over there bud? Playing in the Warehouse Comp??
Great looking stick too BTW

Yeah, it usually takes a little longer to get over here, plus I said I wasn't in a hurry.
This one feels really good, so I can't imagine what the LE would be like.

Thanks, it is top notch.
It usualy is around 20 degrees, but the further into winter we get, the colder it's getting. It's a bit chilly if you're waiting to bat, but once you're out there, you warm up pretty quickly. We start at 10am (till 5pm) and it warms up from there.

I'm playing in a team with a bunch of mates from my summer club, we are called the Ragglers, so we aren't part of a club just a team. Yep, the only comp they have during winter up here in Qld is the warehouse one, and we are having a bit of fun playing B1 south. We havent had to go past 2pm (depending on whether we bat first) yet as we are pretty strong and should be playing higher, but we just want to have some fun. Last week we had 9 players and got 250 off 44 odd overs (we play 50) and then we rolled them for 90. I dont think a team has gotten over 95 against us yet.
Thanks mate.

Lol still warmer than here I bet....

Oh yeah nice. I used to play Warehouse when I lived down in Brissy. Played North though. We were a team made from a few different clubs (called the Pirates), half of us played 1st grade on the sunshine coast. We started in C2N and won the comp undefeated, got moved into B3N and did the same again, then played A1N and found it a little bit harder. I think there are 2 or 3 teams now playing under the Pirates banner. Some quaility players in the Premier Grade Warehouse comp though, few of the Sandgate 1st graders were kicking about a few years ago.

Nice. I think you may have played at marchant park which is turf, but it is uncovered so if it rains there are no games, so we decided it would be best to play at kianawah park which is artificial, but still leaves us a chance to play if it rains. Yeah a few of our 1st graders play for other clubs during winter as my summer club doesn't have its own winter side. Someone told me that they played against Clinton Perren in a winter warhouse game once, and it was in B something, which is crazy seeing as he played for the Bulls. In our comp we have the only Greg Chappell Cricket Centre team playing, so I'm hoping that Greg decides to play one day, unlikely, but would be interesting, lol :P.

Yeah we were at Marchant Park most weeks. Pretty much all of our games were on turf - and yep got some real juicy ones there lol. Mate wouldn't surpise me - in the North Comp Rimmington played a few games in the A2/A3 competition - completely routed the teams they were playing against needless to say!
That would be great if you got to play against him one day!
-
It's good fun to face the quick blokes and if you do well, then you'd be chuffed, ahah.
Would be very good indeed.
In our team we actualy only have 1 genuine bowler, the rest of part timers, and even then he is also handy with the bat, he is a big hitter and last year got 60 odd of 19 balls. He doesn't hit many 4's, so it's either 6, 1's if he doenst quite get it, or he gets out having a go, lol, so I think if we went up we would probably need to get more bowlers but for what we are playing we will be right. We generally bat down to 9.

How's this been playing Lad?
-
I wouldnt know as I don't have it anymore :P. Had a clear out of my stuff and used some of the money to help fund my Reserve and Legend (net bat) and they will be my only bats (Had 5 that werr all different before). Before I sold it, it did hit up very nicely. I am just waiting on the final pics from Andy and I'll chuck them up when I get them :)
-
Who did you sell it too??
-
The Rubbin on here, he is playing cricket over here for a season. I sold him a bit of gear at a very good price to save him having to buy new stuff which would have cost him a bit seeing as our gear is ridiculously expensive.
