my paradox did a similar thing at training tonight :-(

Plus its got a crack on the edge in the middle thats creeping across the face...not cool. Got a bat sent off to H4L today to have weight reduction done to it...hoping it comes back before the paradox gives up totally!

Ahh really! That's horrible. I was gutted, its been going like an absolute gun. Didnt seem to be going or anything, but that crack appeared from a surface crack right down through the toe... :(

I'm going to email Gary tomorrow and see what he says.

There is a Talisman underneath that bat though, sure you'll be fine then mate ;)
On a serious note I am sure Gary will be able to sort you out mate, unfortunate that this has happened.
I saw a Paradox LE bought by a team-mate today, looked fab :D
Great bats those Redbacks mine was very impressive :)

I used my 30 grain Talisman today :D - goes like a train as well, damn pleased. Didn't use the Instinct as I had been keen to try the Talisman out :)
The Paradox was impressive, people commented on it from the oppo it looked ace :)

Why no toe guard or shoe goo?

yeaah it is the 2lb 14 one. It is absolutely unbelievable. it flies. i have been using that quite a bit lately too. That goes just aswell as the redback so i am very fortunate.

You got a 30 grain talisman?! any pics up on here anywhere dude? keen to see it! haha.

Yeah, im confident that Gary will sort me out! :).

Ahh yeah, never ideal when the crack is growing! email Gary and ask for his recomendation, he obv knows his stuff!

Toe guard and/or shoe goo wont stop cracks through the toe like this one though?? Or am I wrong in thinking that

some damage is caused by moisture penetration. shoe goo would eliminate that

Toe guard is to prevent water damage only

can water damage lead to split toe??

I'd just use a bat bandage on it if you can get hold of it and use it. It will eventually get worse in time but there isn't much you can do about it. Although the willow looked a little dry! I'd always advise the use of an anti scuff and a light coating of PVA wood glue on the toe. Another option would be to put a piece of dowling through the toe area.
