Title: Kookaburra Kahuna 800 2011
Post by: AlanB on July 06, 2011, 12:26:32 PM
Here are some photos of my latest purchase. It is a new, 2011 model Kookaburra Kahuna 800. Acquired on ebay from Peter Lorimer Sports (peterl123dabba).
Was listed as 2lb 15oz, which would be too heavy for me, I thought though that it could be lighter as the 800 is only made up to 2lb 12oz. It was clearly a big bat from the pictures on ebay. Sure enough, it weighs in at 2lb 12oz. Large edges, 42mm at the maximum. A lot of wood for the weight. I am delighted with it and recommend the seller. £111 inc delivery, wax and anti-scuff.

That is a huge bargain even if the grains do look a bit wavy and wood a bit coloured for a G1. I'm sure it isn't but it looks more like a Big Kahuna. You tapped it up yet??

A few of the lads at the club have the kahunas in that weight and they pick up well for how heavy they are! Looks like you got a good stick for the price there mate

Taps up very well and I am very hopeful that it's a performer. Cosmetically, not the best but this is not top of the Kahuna range. I had seen a picture of the face prior to purchase, so no surprises. Here's some more photographs:-

Glad you're happy with it mate but the 800 is only one off the top model and retail for £200+. It does look like a nice bat nevertheless.
