Picked both of these up off ebay (cheaply) recently, and both have relatively recent (last ten years) stickers from Slazenger, but neither of them is the V12 or V1200 that I remember. They are both Kashmir toy bats, covered in binding, but can anyone shed any light as to the reasons why they exist and indeed, where the come from? I don't remember seeing them in any shops locally in the last ten years!

We had a load of the V12 at school which i think that is why they where made and the V1200 was a kids version of the mens bats
-
I definitely remember the V1200 panther. I think that they came from Sports Direct or JJB and were about £25 if I remember rightly. Possibly when I was 13/14, so 2001 perhaps?

Interesting. Both are full size SH bats.
-
I remember V1200 from about 2001 ish
-
The v1200 was around when I was a kid. Plenty had them at the club
-
A proper v1200 looks like a stretched one of these: http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=11959.msg198528#msg198528

I THINK ramps or butcher used the V1200 at one point("non proper version")
-
Indeed Ramps did use a bat with V1200 graphics, here he is with one during the tour of India in 2001.
