Title: Um, what should I do?
Post by: Liam-SCCC on July 14, 2011, 02:55:19 PM
Found a crack on the bottom inside edge of my bat, by bats often go in this area.

Anything I can do?

Thanks

Liam

Best thing I've had done on these kind of breaks is have the bat glued and then pegged, they seem to hold up well.

Just got this reply from mike

Hi Liam,

It's nothing to worry about, stick some fibre tape on the edge there if wanted, otherwise I can do nothing until it opens up a lot more, it may just stay like that forever or continue to open, it is not life threatening regardless.

Follow mikes orders, if it gets worse then go back to him

Agree with what Mike advised.  You can't really do anything until the crack opens up and its best to wait for this to naturally occur so it can be glued and clamped.
