Title: My match bats...
Post by: Howzat on July 20, 2011, 02:49:43 PM
Well my bat collection is at its peak, the best its ever been I would say. So I thought now would be a good time to show off the bats I'm using at the moment.

Its hard to convey just how good these bats are through pictures (especially as they are upside down and bad quality) but all of these bats really go well and pick up beautifully.

The 7 Sins stickered bat is the mythical "Kieswetter Bat" that I got off Mike, weighs in at 2lb 10

The other two were made for Michael Brown of Surrey but rejected by him, both identical copies at 2lb 8 in weight.

How did you get hold of the 7 sins stickers? I have a Paradox LE and it is quite simply the best bat I have ever had in my 11 years playing cricket. I have used mine for half a season and it still looks brand new. How long have you had yours for? Give it a couple of years and I'll be placing a new order!

Had the bat refurbed by Gary and he obviously thought it was worthy of them ;)

I've been using the Alleigance LE all of this year and it has scored me around 700 runs so far, still going strong but got the copy so that when it finally does go I have an ideal replacement!

The brand new one looks to have less concaving than the other two.

Does Gary make for quite a few pro's then?

The brand new one is identical to the other Allegiance LE, the Kieswetter is extremely heavily concaved and Gary had to hand sand as his drum sander wouldnt fit it!

The Kieswetter bat looks like it has either a two inch longer blade or it has one inch longer and the other two are one inch shorter?

the browns are shorter blades think!

Good guess but all three are standard SH. The two Redbacks however are 1" shorter blade with 1" longer handle. Apparently Michael Brown preferred the 1.5" shorter/longer combo.
