im torn between a few good bats to chose from for my next bat any help to narrow the list down would be greatfull
laver and wood special reserve
redback paradox
tailsman perfect storm
H4leather 666 monster
i know they are all great bats can anyone give advice on them
-
that is a very tough choice........
i must admit i've taken quite a fancy to the redback paradox, as ives seen some very nice ones on here recently.... but you cant really go wrong with any of them tbh, theyre all class bats...
I think you need to decide which bat suits you the most, middle position, weight etc
-
Most people on here would probably recommend holding off from talisman while he storeys himself out, otherwise you could be waiting a very long time. The h4l is a very nice bat, having one myself, but as mentioned, you won't go wrong with any of them.

yeah im after something quiet chunky and powerfull around the 2lb 14 mark with a middle to low sweet spot and as extended as possible with hardly any concaveing that will perform like a steam train
-
Knowing what you want, ask of those guys can make one for you to your spec. Got the money to spend?

Have you considered the Lekka RDX Big Hitter for allround performance ?

the one i sent you pics of . . . .

H4L Monster is right up your street with specs like that mate, mine is amazing

Tough decision!! Or like me, just by a couple of each! ;)
Actually haven't got a H4L Monster, although I do have a top notch Excel which is an amazing bat.
To be honest, I would say that all the bats on the list would be just as good (or better) than anything you have used before. But as Tim said, Talisman is AWOL right now, so possibly better if you avoid one of those for the moment, which is a shame because te supply of bats I have had from Mike have beem awesome!
Lavers tend to be top quality bats, but in my experience they normally take longer to 'play in' than the other brands. But I guess it depends how patient you feel?
Every Redback I've had (4) have been up there with the rest of the top notch bats, so I'm probably not helping you decide!!! :(
And I've had a couple of Lekka bats which have been quality as well (in case you are contemplating James post)
I would always look at Black Cat as well, but then the list starts to get even longer! >:(
Basically you have a number of choices - and on this forum we are lucky to have the most incredible wealth of knowledge and experience in all things bats and cricket. So enjoy 8)

We have some very nice Bulldog Spirits in stock in your weight. I have one that I think you would be interested in. Pm if you would like some photos.

And I'd have to second that these bats are a bit nuts. I've got one and it goes very well indeed. 68m pulled six the last time I used it.

We're helping him be like you and dream of bats!
On a serious note, it's worth mentioning what your budget is as that helps you to narrow down your scope, but for the profile/weight that you've described, all of the bats mentioned here will go like stink!
-
I reckon you could do worse than this one:

look at the size of those edges. Did they not have the correct tools to cut the tree up before putting a handle on it?
-
That Lekka is a T20 bat (same profile as the Black Cat Joker) and came from me.
I hand knocked that in and wondered several times whether I shold sell it, as I cold feel that it would go like a rocket! It really is a top notch bat and I did question my own sanity when I sold it! But as my Joker was ready then I sold it anyway.
But it is a little lighter than he is looking for maybe, as didn't he say he wanted a 2'14 bat?
-
i agree that Lekka looks monstrous definitely a good shout......

H4L! best bat i've owned. Matt's extremely helpful and would probably make you any profile you want. Plus its probably the cheapest of your options.
2lb14oz would give you some seriously big edges too!

Sorry to do this to you but I'd also consider the Instinct Big Bertha. Whilst perhaps a bit pricier these Instincts are top top bats, and I think the Hosk has used a 2.12 BB and can attest to the fact that it was a gun :)
Sounds like the sort of profile you want but I think they offer a custom service too.
Wherever you go you won't go wrong mate :)
