chasing a ball in the field today i felt a pop in my right knee and can now hardly walk. Immediate ice on it but it has balloned . Is this my season finished ? :(

Get to casualty. We are not doctors and even if we were, could not reliably diagnose you from here.
No point rsking it.

Ya, casualty mate. Although I've no idea where in Cornwall the A+E is... Truro I'd guess?

Prob a torn synovial fluid sack which is full of fluid and causes ballooning....maybe torn cartilage as a result of that ??? Without MRI scan they will pull it about to test stability but won't do anything until swelling has gone down and they can assess it.
Having been on the end of 2 ruptured cruciates and torn cartilage twice iv had all kinds of pops and odd sounds from my knees

just back from hospital.....on crutches. Drained plenty of bloody fluid off it. They think its ligament damage. go to go back friday

Yeh sounds about right mate, worst case ruptured plc or acl and an op and 9 months Physio!
MRI scan will let u know the score and next action required with it

Well hospital this morning, They pretty sure its the cruciate ligaments, got to go back on monday so they decide on surgery or not. In the meantime i have to wear this ....
