Anyone use these gloves both for fielding practice and on field use ?
-
i thought you could ONLY use them for practice?
-
You can't wear them for onfield use can you?
-
A guy a couple of years ago had special permission from the league to wear these due to an injury to his hands!
-
Yup, illegal on field of play.
Law 41.1
Protective equipment
No fielder other than the wicket-keeper shall be permitted to wear gloves or external leg guards. In addition, protection for the hand or fingers may be worn only with the consent of the umpires.
-
Yeah i have worn them for training great gloves to build confidence and work on technique.

A lad at my old club used them for warm ups during the colder parts of the season, not the worst idea in the world.

Sorry for dragging up an old thread but thought i'd post on this one as it already exists rather than starting a new one.
Does anyone use the Gray Nicholls or Aero fielding gloves at all in warm ups? If you have used both, which do you prefer and why?
I'm looking to get a pair and have seen the aero but wondered what the "gel" was like in the GN ones.
Thanks

I use the Canterbury gloves.
Really good and you can take some stinging catches without stuffing your hands.

In future mate, its best to start a new topic, than drag up a lekka thread. They're best left in the archives!

haha and I didn't even get a mention haha.
Back on the thread. I have the gn ones. Best investment ever. We use old painted white balls at my club for fielding and they turn to rocks after a couple of paint jobs and these protected my hands beautifully. I only wore one on my non throwing hand as I preferred to throw without it on if we were doing outfield drills but would wear both if doing close catching work
hope that helps
