Anyone ever seen anything like this one???
-
is that rubber???
-
Looks like cork to me
-
Id go with cork as rubber would be heavy....hard to tell though as the pic isnt very big
-
looks like a honeycomb material (like the hunts county modulus). I've seen the middle cut out before, but never with a material behind the laminated area.........would this improve performance???
-
Although illegal and interesting concept
-
its a fair way into the blade too. . . . at least a couple of cm's. . ..

This is what was quoted on the website:
"The "Flat Bat" for TWENTY20 cricket. Ian had perfected a laminating process to secure a lightweight insert that gave the bat tremendous rebound qualities. Fortunately for bowlers and fieldsman the MCC changed the laws of cricket and production ceased."

Callen Cricket right? I posted a link to this bat a while ago when laminates were the hot discussion on here! http://www.callencricket.com.au/testimonials.asp

Full Marks Jenko...lol

Would be pretty cool to try one....wonder if he would make one up if we *promised* to not use it in games
-
It reminds me of the baseball bats that they "load up" with superballs
