Title: How do you prolong a pair of gloves' lives?
Post by: Colesy on August 16, 2011, 09:30:52 PM
A guy at our club has had the same pair of gloves for around 4 seasons now (gasp) and they have lost all grip and are card-like. Is there anyway to make them more grippy and more supple?

He gets paid Friday so told him to get a new pair.

my gloves have lasted be 4 season, they had next to no grip and i ended up doing a hammer toss in the rain. lol. so i sanded them down a bit and they seem to be a little bit more grippy

I don't think inners will solve the issues of the palms being brittle due to use

wash them, then dry them out in the airing cupboard, before they dry stiff, rub some "face cream" in to the leather - not great but i've done it before and its ok...
