Do many forum members use additional inner padding when batting ?

I used to put a hockey shin pad in, but changed my technique and stopped getting hit so much!
some pros do, ramps for one did. not sure now.

One of my mates puts a beer towel in them!

i don't face anything quicker than about 70mph, and my pads will protect me up to about 80mph - assuming our bowling machine is accurate!
(so that's a no!)

It looks like Strauss/cook have extra padding in their pads

The only think I have seen is relatively high density foam - but I think it isn't all that common now.
