I used one for the first time yesterday in a county twos trial game and they must be the hardest ball I've ever played with. The one used was a kookaburra and a few of the lads like jack manuel who plays a bit for Worcestershire 1s said there horrible to ball with, He was right! They don't shine up and don't swing much! Definitely a batsman friendly ball as after 60 overs the ball was still rock hard and going to the boundary! Nevertheless an interesting and enjoyable experience!

anyone know what brand is being used for the potential count champ game? is it dukes or are div 2 still using the tufflex ball or whatever it was?
ive only every used a cheapish pink kookaburra i got in aus a couple of years ago. swung a fair bit but softened up pretty quickly. could be the cost of the ball or how things have changed in that time.
how did you fare against/using the ball?

It was the ball they use in the county 2s game so i presume kookaburra might be being used for it?
Batting against it was lovely, rock hard ball so flew off
Bowling was quite fun too!
It was just weird haha!

i guess a bit of a change can be good. I doubt i will be using one anytime soon in a game unless i find some talent from somewhere but good to hear what people think when they come up against one

It will be a tiflex ball as they provide the Div 2 balls... so it will be (if their others balls are anything to go by) pretty hard, it will swing, but the seam will flatten out a bit.

I've got one of the top grade pink kookaburra balls and I hate bowling with it but it is great to bat against. To me it feels a touch heavier than normal balls but I could just have just got an bad ball.
