Work for Volkswagen Group UK dealing with New cars delivered damaged. Arranging them to be repaired by the dealers at the agreed costs then claiming the cash back from the liable party. Not as boring as it sounds. Few perks to the job!

I work in IT for a bank rolling out banking systems and upgrades mainly in Europe - not as boring as it might sound. As it's a global bank I've been lucky enough to travel a bit, been to Poland loads of times, Athens, Moscow, Luxembourg, Cyprus and had a month in Vancouver once too.

Career -

I decided at the tender age of 17 to leave College in 2009 during six form whilst I was balancing College with evening work at Argos.  This was really tough and something had to give.  I decided to leave College to work more hours at Argos, seemed silly but it just felt right....And I haven't look back since.

Worked a few weeks basically full-time at Argos and got approached by D&M Sports (Cricket Clothing brand);

Jan - June 2009 - Sales Rep
June - Feb 2010 - Sales Account Manager
Feb -  July 2011 - Shop Manager Of Leicestershire CCC

August 2011 - September 2011 - Sales Assistant at a local School Uniform Shop
September (School Uniform Shop) - Sales Manager

After having a breakfast meeting this morning with the local business peer group, I learnt that a lot of business can be created just by people knowing who you are and what you do.  For instance ^ above with Tom's car...I just found it very interesting, if you have a small business then check for the local peer group.

My job title is 'Senior Business Support Engineer' but that doesn't mean much really. I work for BAe Systems in the Military Aircraft division, more specifically in the planning department for the detail manufacturing section.

I mainly work on the reporting side of things, using Crystal Reports to extract cost & performance data from various business systems.

Over the last couple of years this has evolved into creating data warehouses using SAP Business Objects Data Integrator to enable us to manage and manipulate our reporting data more effectively.

The most recent string to my bow is creating Windows .NET applications that allow our customers to interact with information in the data warehouses.

I'm also about to complete the ISEB International Diploma in Business Analysis (just my oral exam left to sit in November)

...congratulations to anyone who understood all of that!

I am building those BOBJ systems fella, and doing the configuration for Crystal reporting, Single sign on for the stores reporting systems, InfoView, etc! As well as installing, and patching the SAP Integration modules for the BOBJ and WEB servers and applying the Integration setup for the Business Warehousing system.
Business Objects seems to be a decent thing to learn so I'm glad I working on it! Next contract should be interesting considering there are no SAP BOBJ Consultants anywhere!  ;)
You happy where you are Johnny, or were you thinking of increasing your salary somewhat?

Territory Manager for Travis Perkins.

We have 600+ Branches nationwide so if any of you are planning any extensions or other building work and refurbs; give me a shout.
I am sure there are many Clubs out there that will now be planning the construction of new pavilion's, scoreboxes etc or maybe just refurbing.

As a fellow cricket volunteer; I can help to keep those costs down so give me a bell if your Club is to undergo any work this winter and I will do my best for you.
